Job Description

A Project Manager is expected to oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of information technology projects within our organization. They are responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to the specifications and requirements outlined by stakeholders or Clients.

As an IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for

• Managing the full lifecycle of IT projects, from initiation to completion.
• Work closely with stakeholders to
➢ Gather requirements ➢ Develop project plans ➢ Allocate resources, and oversee the execution of tasks to ensure successful project delivery.
• Involve in coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Managing project timelines and budgets, and mitigating risks to ensure projects are completed on time.

Responsibilities of Project Manager:

1. Project Planning and Initiation:

• Collaborate with Clients to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential project constraints and develop mitigation strategies.

2. Project Execution and Monitoring:

• Lead cross-functional project teams in executing project tasks.
• Monitor project progress, track key milestones, and manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
• Provide regular updates to clients on project status, including progress, issues, and risks.

3. Resource Management:

• Allocate resources effectively to ensure project tasks are completed on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with Team leads to assign project team members and manage their workload.
• Identify resource gaps and address staffing needs as required to support project objectives.

4. Client Communication:

• Maintain open and transparent communication with Client throughout the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate regular meetings, workshops, and presentations to gather feedback, address concerns, and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Manage Clients expectations and negotiate priorities to ensure successful project outcomes.

5. Risk Management:

• Identify and assess project risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize project disruptions.
• Proactively monitor and address emerging risks to ensure project success.

6. Quality Assurance:

• Establish and maintain quality standards for project deliverables.
• Conduct regular quality reviews and inspections to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry best practices.
• Implement corrective actions as needed to address quality issues and improve project outcomes.

Requirements and skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience in IT project management, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and clients at all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in project management software and collaboration tools.
• Have sufficient knowledge in aspects like front backend and database technologies.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
